“Los Angeles, CA: Lost In Romance, the debut album by singer Lyn Stanley featuring 13 of jazz’s finest musicians, was released August 20th to widespread critical acclaim and airplay both across the country and internationally. A passionate ode to the music and romance of another era, Lost In Romance is also a tribute to Stanley’s friend and mentor, the late legendary world-class jazz pianist Paul Smith, whom she credits with launching her career as a singer.”

“Lyn Stanley’s story is unique. First “discovered” by Paul Smith in 2010 with no previous singing experience, during the same timeframe she also competed and won two Pro/Am USA Open Gold International Standard Dance Sport titles and placed third in a World Title Pro/Am event. Four months after meeting Stanley, Smith invited her to perform onstage with his trio for her singing debut, and in 2011 she was one of 27 students accepted in a worldwide open call for a singer training program at Yale University. Stanley began working with top-tier arranger-pianist Tamir Hendelman (Barbra Streisand) and arranger-producer Steve Rawlins (Bette Midler), and her critically-acclaimed one-woman show, “Makin’ Whoopee,” soon followed at Vitello’s in Los Angeles and the Joslyn Center For Performing Arts in Palm Desert, CA.”
